The spending of these billions were paralleled in the US by the rise of the Project for a New American Century, engineered by Christoll, Wolfowitz, Perle of Bush's gang of neocons, all PNAC members or operatives, which launched the infamous Bush wars, perpetuated and expanded by Obama contrary to his campaign promises to Libya and Syria, with hefty support of Muslim extremists (Al Qaida, et al) in the "Arab Spring" protests, turning them into armed revolutions where possible. The issue is, QUI BONO? of all this neocon chicanery? Clearly Israel stands to benefit from the PNAC rearrangement of the Middle East map into unstable, radical Islamist states dependent on NATO military support which can later be subjugated at will, unlike their more stable and prosperous predecessors. General Wesley Clark reported of plans to take over Libya, Syria, Iran, etc prior to 9/11/2001
