It's amazing how Aluf succeeds in retracing a Syrian angle, to an extent that it must actually irritate Israeli nerves. Even I wouldn't have combined in the same sentence: "In his 10 years in power, Bashar Assad has maintained Syria's internal stability and secular character, retaken control of Lebanon and nurtured Hezbollah as a strategic deterrent against Israel." And conclude: "That is quite a bit." That is quite a bit thick.
