"rene french fries" - I'm not French "i noted you praised the existence of little luxembourg" I pointed to a real similarity between Luxembourg and (future) Palestine, which is that Luxembourgers were not "recognized" as a separate "ethnic" entity before, say, they got rid of the "Personalunion" with Netherland. That was when Adolphe of Nassau became Grand-Duc, nearly at the same time the London conference decided for an "ever-lasting" neutrality of the (formarly really mighty) fortress, which then was dismantled. Up to then, we simply were "Germans" - or, more precisely, one of the numerous members (4 kingdoms, 18 Fürstentümer, 3 Freie Hansestädte) of the Deutscher Bund. Only after international recognition, we went to elaborate - rather "invent" - a national identity, thereby harking back to (preferably "glorious") personages and events from History. Do you see my point? namely, "Palestinians" too continue to be referred to mostly as "Arabs"...
