There are good reasons to suspect that Iran is interested in the development of nuclear weapons. But it will take them years to achieve this goal. Let us not leave the chore of reigning in Iran to the inept hands of Bush and his puppeteer Cheney. Let the next US President apply common sense to dealing with Iran. Whatever sense the next Prez applies will be better than the Bush/Cheney sense. The way now is to impose sanctions on Iran and try to talk them, and in particular the Chief Ayattolah, into some reason. All kinds of things might happen in the coming few years: Ahmadinejad might not be reelected, or Khamenei might put an end to the adventure, or the US will be out of Iraq and less vulnerable, etc. Let us hope that 2009 sees the end of the Bush-Ahmadinejad Axis of Evil.
