When I attended high school, math was my favorite subject. We had a really bad teacher in the ninth and tenth grades, a doted old man who was so easily distracted by mischievous boys. Then I was able to enter the so called "realistic trend" which emphasized math and physics in the 11th and 12th grades and finally it was so gratifying to have a strict and competent math teacher (whom some students called the witch) that I really liked. Why assign the best math teachers to poor students who don't care to learn math anyway? The best teachers should be assigned to the best students - that's only fair.
