Yes, Hamas' ideology is bad, and does not fit at all into the convictions of a true Western liberal. Period. But so is right-wing Israel, and their right-wing buddies overseas with their through and through stupid and dangerous ideology of expansive Zionism, people for whom Mr. Levy has only some "softie-softie" criticism left, if at all. Unfortunately he fails to mention in his article, that Hamas (since their election victory) has now be boycotted and shunned by the International community for 4 years, while right- wing Israel has been left off the hook until recently. Now Mr. Levy is very unhappy that right-wing Israel is also getting its fair share of the blame, he finds that unacceptable. Which puts him into exactly the same corner with most of the Democratic Jewish Congressmen in the U.S. (Schumer, Weiner, Ackerman, Boxer etc....). They are all super-liberals until the topic becomes Israel. Then they all of a sudden change into die- hard hawks, serving either as apologists for right-wing Israel (Mr. Levy) or even as supporters of the most extreme Israeli governement of all times (Schumer, Weiner, Boxer etc....). And that's why I think the term "Jewish pseudo- liberals" is absolutely adequate here.....
