Bergman is NOT (ot not longer) a prominent leader of the Jewish community : on the contrary, he has less and less support from it.. He is running with a rightist party with deep ties with the Catholic Church and with supporters of the last dictatorship. His presence is supposed to give a politically correct make up to a rightist and xenophobic party. Bergman shamelessly uses his early commitment with the relatives of the AMIA terrorist attack victims, ended years ago, and he wants to do the same thing with his rabbinic condition. A lot of Jewish voices are raising against him.
