For months, all three of you—especially the first two—have denounced Abbas as not really interested in peace. As not even really being at peace with us. As no better than an enemy. As no better than Hamas. Well, you got what you wished for: you undermined Abbas' authority with his own people so badly that you forced him to reconcile with Hamas, simply to save face. Now you have the enemy you want; the enemy you can wholeheartedly reject, or attack, or transfer; claiming—falsely—that this proves it was always an enemy.
