Disregarding government-sanctioned Settlements established prior to the cut off date set in the Road Map agreement, your high court defers to international law for any land beyond the Green Line for which Jews cannot prove clear ownership. This means the court does acknowledge the land is occupied under international law and has chosen to apply the regulations of the Geneva Conventions on an ad-hoc basis. This is a legal favor that Israel has no right to demand and in my opinion does not deserve. Israel must abide and honor international law. Not just when it suits your interests, but ALWAYS. THAT -and nothing less -is what it takes to be a Light unto Nations.
