"I have never been able to understand why there are people who are prepared to fight for the "Palestinian people's" right to self-definition, whereas the Jewish people's desire for self-definition appears racist to them"- the fact is Palestinians come from different religious and even ethnic backgrounds- some are Christians, some are Muslims, and some are even Jews. Pals, just like many Arabs, come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds- some white, some black, some ethnic Arabs, some from a Turkic, Circassian, Armenian, and other backgrounds. The Palestinians want a state for all these people regardless of race or religion. I'm not sure that'll be the same for Israel once the proposed amendment comes into force.
