Haaretz! Please print this and dont make me write it all over again!!! Thank you! Shalom ben Gurion! In response to your post last night to left but not anti zionist about what Hamas does once there is an agreement and Israel has withdrawn is no of liilte importance I would would say that I dont agree. Leaving behind a situation where there is no fuctioning central authority , being challenged by armed gangs that have a parity of power with it, deligitimisng the treaty and foisting attacks on Israel as tool of their internal disputes is not a good idea. A viable Palestinian state is not just geography it is also a viable govt to make Palestine function viably. With an agreement in hand the govt of palestine would be well placed to disarm gangs. There is no point in allowing for a loophole to undo the whole thing. It also does not allow the govt to pass the buck of responsibilty by saying "we are trying" "you must understand" etc etc. To withdraw and have to get back involved again is not the "chochma" here, rather everything should be done to give the agreement a chance to take hold. I agree ngotiations can proceed without disarmement but actual signing is dependant on Palestine being a viable partner to treaties. Regards Danite
