(Haaretz filtered this response once for some reason) Do you consider the fact that 1/3 of the people who live in the land now controlled by Israel do not have any sway over policies enacted that affect every moment of their day-to-day lives to be a "little imperfection," of Israels democracy, or one of the "fine details" missing from your opinion? Until Israel grants equal rights for ALL of its citizens, AND either acknowledges and RESPECTS the soverign rights of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, or grants voting rights to all of the people who live in the land it occupies, democracy in Israel will continue to be a SHAM. In addition, Mr. Gurion, if I beat my wife everyday with my fist, but I do not use a bat, like my neighbor, am I a better wife beater than my neighbor?
