I have not been to the Rafah crossing. I am sure that it is not a pleasant experience. But again it all comes down to the attitude of the Palestinians. I have read many times that when the crossing is open there is chaos. I have it easy living here in Canada. As an example this morning I will drive 2 hours with my family into the USA . I will politely bring my passport along with the thousands of other Canadians crossing the border. I will be questioned about the purpose of my visit and within 2 minutes I will be on my way. Because there is a trust between our 2 countries. But just let some crazy Canadian try to smuggle dangerous goods into the USA and those borders will be shut in an instant. Sorry Ben ..that is the reality of Israel and her neigbours. When the Palestinians become menschen Rafah will become the paradise crossing.
