Of the two Iranian ships passing through the Suez canal. The supply ship Kharg is most interesting. This ship is the largest re-fitted tanker in the Iranian Navy. A few years back, there were reports the Kharg has been observed in the Gulf of Aden delivering weapons to destinations in Eritrea and Yemen. It would make a perfect vessel to move arms to Hezbollah. It's around 2,150 miles from Bandar Abbas the port in Iran to Jeddah.... where the Kharg moored last. The question is... why does a fleet tanker the size of the Kharg, need to re-fuel after that kind of journey. The answer... probably because the tanker is carrying more than just fuel. I'm not implying the Iranians are smuggling weapons. But what I am suggesting... is that being naive about Iran is absolutely foolish.
