It amazes me to no end that the apparent arab posters in talkback parrot the same things, all the time with limited variation, all to the ultimate effect that they want no Israel to exist. That is why when I read Ha'aretz online about Peretz and Beilin's comments I shake my head and perhaps have a sad smile. The return of the jewish people to the homeland that they had never all together left is one of the few acts or event if you will, of justice in the 20th century. A number of the so-called Palestinians only arrived in the area in the 19th century, and some only as a result of the economic opportunities created by the Ottoman empire or the jewish presence. There is no history of attachment of the arabs to the land as there is for the Jews, and Jerusalem has only become designated an important muslim holy site in contemporary times. Because the arabs will not accept the justice of there being an Israel there is no peace. The U.N. merely facilitates arab rejectionism and extreme third world ideologies that prevent democracy and freedom throughout the world. The UN is an enabler of human misery and failure, and its forces have been shown to have raped young women in places it has been posted, or abused the population. The organization is a sham.
