There has been a major loss of credibility in government institutions, due to a large degree of corruption, fraud and improper influence. Social cohesiveness has been weakened by poverty, social inequality and unemployment. Religious fanaticism is growing and becomeing more vocal, an increasingly large degment of that population is experiencing a sense of alienation and national betrayal, hostility towar the Arab population in Israel is growing and overall there seems to be no solution to the problems confronting the nation. All one has to imagine is the failure of Kadima to carry out this next phase of disengagement and the rent within the national fabric will be very consequential and I think lead to another Sharon only notched up a little higher to the level of national leader- the kind of thing Lieberman would like to see happen.
