There is not much I, or anyone else can say to defend the corrupt, ineffective Arab leaders that sit and watch as the Palestinians live in such atrocius conditions. It's still not fair, however, to free Israel, an economically prosperous supposedly democratic state, from blame for the plight of the refugees.Because it was you that expelled them in the first place. Then you tell the Arabs to 'assimilate' the Palestinians into our communities.. It was the imperialists who set the borders between the Arabs(Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Jordan etc.) It was the westerners that divided the Arabs in the first place, eradicating Arab nationalism and giving meaning to words like 'Palestinian', 'Syrian' and 'Lebanese'. The West tells Arab states to absorb Palestinians into their societies when it was the WEST ITSELF that taught us to differentiate between Arabs. It was the West that created the Palestinian identity. The same Palestinian identity that you are trying to get rid of.
