To Daniel: "in the beautiful Europe we are mostly ateists and live in peace with both jews & muslims because we dont judge people based on religion!" Are you for real? Europe has an obscene History of cruel and vicious anti-semitism going back over a thousand years that culminated in the Holocaust, during which unprecedented cruelty was visited on fellow human beings: systematic, state-spsonsored torture, humiliation and degradation, starvation, execution and murder of millions of unarmed men and women, of innocent, defenseless babies, children and the elderly, day after day, year after year, for the duration of the war. Their heinous crime? They were Jews. And what did the vast majority of the good citizens of beautiful Europe do? If they were not actively participating in the slaughter, they were doing nothing, indifferent - after all, it was only the Jews. The public narrative of today - the virulent attacks by the media, governments and individuals directed at the only Jew among the nations, Israel, with very little or no regard for facts, rights of self-defense, existential threats, or considered analysis of the grossly different morality of the acts committed by each side - is a very thinly disguised form of anti-semitism. More and more it resembles the narrative and 'dialogue' of 1930s Germany, with its obscene stereopyping of the Jews, and its ugly, vicious propaganda directed against them. As for your Muslims and your minorities, what peaceful co-exixtence are you talking about? Wake up, look around you, read the papers, listen to the news and smell the flowers, man. Daily racially-motivated attacks, murders, torchings and social unrest. Whilst you're at it, read up on Europe's relatively recent history; how Christians and Muslims live in peace: the war in the Balkans, Serbia, Croatia? Any of this sound familiar? What a Chutzpah to preach to others!
