Very good analysis, and one that conforms with the more intelligent left blogs originating in the states. But, while its all well and good to catalog the nefarious scumn that the "American" neocons and their enablers are, I've got to ask: haven't the Israeli right wing been more than happy to embrace the neocons, at least as far a enhancing even more the Israeli influence over American policy and the largesse and influence that entails? Haven't the Israelis dragged their feet in truly engaging a peace process that recognizes long term realities of accommodation with the Arab world? Progressive on tis side of the ocean seriously wonder if Israel desn't write the American script. Seriously. Heady stuff that. But stuff that Israel must renounce if it is to re-enter reality. You can't count on the American politicians to revise the contract. Their too busy with their collective head up AIPAC's rear to sober up.
