Be careful when you refer to Czechoslovakia and the Sudeten Germans: the Czechs in "1938" were then the "Jew of Nations" in the international community. Nothing they could do that year could assuage the Versailles guilt of the elites in Britain in the many universities (the author, Elizabeth Wiskemann, one of the few brave exceptions), major newspapers, not to mention the Foreign Office and Parliament, grasped at straws to find what Hitler and Henlein were doing as being reasonable; while finding everything that the Czechs did as being unreasonable, negative and contributing to the deteriorating international situation then. Sounds familiar, but credit the Czechs for one thing: their newspapers did not stab their own nation in the back like Haaretz does to theirs!
