According to its website, Israel Apartheid Week is 'celebrating' its 'boycott, divestment, and sanctions' (BDS) campaign against Israel. It turns out a major purpose of the BDS is '...promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194'. Article 11 of UNGAR 194 says in part 'refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date'. Just how many Palestinians, I wonder, are truly interested in living in peace with their Jewish neighbours, in a Jewish state? Article 11 also says, 'compensation should be paid ... for loss of or damage to property which, under principles of international law or in equity, should be made good by the Governments or authorities responsible.' Meaning the Arab governments and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, whose calls for Arab evacuations and war against Israel made them refugees. BDS - it's just BS.

We leftists whine and complain, we only talk about how bleak and hopeless life is in Israel. We alienate all those Israelis whose support we need to bring political change.21:35 11.02.16 | 0 comments
