Lubnani, believe what you want about what I am about to say or my credentials/believability (afterall, you don't know me or what I do for a living) I have been in personal discussions with members of Barak's negotiating team a few times, and though they won't say it in public (and will deny it if asked in public), they have stated explicitly and clearly (behind closed doors) that Barak tied their hands during the negotiating process in Camp David. Barak stated to the team before the beginning of the meetings that he was only interested in showing Arafat up as not willing to accept any offer, and made sure that they had no flexibility to compromise during face to face negotiations. Actually, the Israeli negotiating team was quite frustrated with Barak. Doesn't sound like the type of man I want in office as PM.
