Barak knows that there is nothing to explain to the Israeli public. In fact, if there is any explantion to this mostly racist public, it would be why didn't he vote with the majority. He knows that the real damage is done on the international level. How would Barak now go to the US and Canada and argue that Israel is part of the englightened world when it has enacted apartheid laws, and its Supreme Court upheld that validity of this law. He mainly acts as an apologetic ambassador rather than as a Cheif Justice of a Supreme Court. Now his biggest problem is justifying how not only the parliamant and the executive adopted apartheid laws, but the judiciary only. He should be boycotted anyway for holding an official post in an apartheid state.
