But all he has to show for Ross’s groundbreaking thinking is ideas that were thrown up by Israel and rejected by the Palestinians as insufficient: More control for the Palestinians in areas A and B, some economic inroads into area C. Israel has always been willing to make these concessions. What about defining the borders, removing the settlements or at least freezing them, withdrawal of the IDF from the Jordan Valley, stopping the theft of water, lifting the blockade on Gaza, the formation of the international force that would replace the IDF? What earthmoving thoughts did Ross have about these?
