Detailed information about each foreign country is gathered by ambassadors, their assistants, intelligence agents at the Israeli embassies, and analyzed at the Foreign Ministry and various intelligence agencies. The prime minister and other ministers are given briefings by analysts. This is the same in all countries, and regardless of which party is in power, which ideology is dominating the government. Bar'el's viewpoint here must surely be too simplistic, too naive. The government surely couldn't take decisions with as little information as Bar'el implies!
