Banks are businesses, they exist for the sole purpose of making profits for their shareholders and not to provide some kind of public service. Banks hire bankers to run the show, make sure the business runs smooth and that the bank makes a profit and in exchange they are well paid and receive a bonus at the end of the year, thats the nature of banking. The Meretz hardcore socialist ideals might believe all institutions should be there to provide a public service and help the poor but in the real world capitalism is king and all companies care about is PROFIT. You want banks that put customers before profit them go to an islamic bank because they dont charge interest becuse the Koran forbids lending money for interest.
