Very good and balanced article.if it is of interest to people here the view in Ireland at least ,is of dismay at further settlements. Below was published in a leading news paper of record.I am very interested in any comments people may have. thanks. It has become clear that Israel in not interested in a lasting peace with the Palestinians. The announcement of yet more illegal settlements only insures that further conflict is inevitable as how can the Palestinians trust any offers of peace that are made. Illegal Settlements are simply a theft, which in Irish law is the ?dishonest appropriation of property without the consent of its owner and with the intention of depriving its owner of it?. Are the Palestinians simply to stand back and watch as their country is systematically eroded ? Or perhaps the unfortunate Palestinians should just leave their homes, admit they have lost to superior force and find some where else to live? That sounds a good Israeli peace offer to me.
