J-Street is actually an anti-Israel group masquerading as "pro-Israel." But Ayalon would have been smart to have met the US Lawmakers anyway. By not meeting them he loses the opportunity to get his message across. The tacit recognition of J-Street would have been insignificant in comparison. That is my opinion at least.
