A Palestinian teen who tried to stab an Israeli woman in the West Bank was run over and shot to death. Her father, imam of the refugee camp where she grew up, says his daughter was 'responding to the occupation.'04:30 28.11.15 | 0 comments
I remember the incident which first made me realize that there was something not kosher in Israel. It happened several years ago. An IDF tank crew claim they saw motion near the Gaza fence and opened fire, killing several young children playing near the fence. In the aftermath, Israel succesively blamed the children, the parents of the children, and finally Hamas. The tank crew claimed that they didn't see what they were shooting at. Anywhere else this would be an indictment of the tank crew. In Israel it was an exoneration. This sort of inceident has replayed itself over and over. Israelis kill Arabs and it is never their fault. Even when Hizbollah made an attack on an IDF post, opening the 2006 war, Israel was bombing apartment blocks in Beruit within hours. It is this mindset in which the man responsible for the poor state of Israels fire fighting capabilities claims to be unfairly victimized by the criticism he is receiving after the deadly fire. Israeli Jews cherish victimhood. They have taken it to the bank time after time. Now it is an automatic reaction.
