the Diaspora, not fully comprehending that the ongoings in all the Arab regions are our concerns. Many have stated here and I'm certain in Israel, what do we care if they fight amongst them, there are more important issues, etc. Last Saturday night, having invited guests for coffee, I was outnumbered by these discussions as my good friends questioned why be concerned about them...there are more important issues such as Darfur, etc. The perceptions of socio-political expectations of the Palestinians are negatively engrained by many already because they fear the changes of the possibility of a two-state compromise. This is understood given this week's developments. Changing views of another becomes a hardship and takes time.
