The IDF, must be a 24/7/365. Any sane person understands that. Nevertheless, there is no need to do other things than "security" needs on the sabbath. Breaking up a few trailors on the sabbath is not needed for our security. Avi if you do not want to Follow G-d that is your choice. Yet, when you oblige others to spit on the torah, I find that insulting. I will fight on Yom Kippor, but the word is fight. Watching a boarder for example is fighting. Destroying Jewish towns, is not. Yet the non religous who serve, and who do not keep the sabbath, it is better that they watch the boarder since the sabbath means nothing to them.
