"A country that stood up to seven Arab nations in the War of Independence," That war took 8 months The Yom Kippur war took 3 months until the Syria lay down thier weapons. The war with Hezbolla is only 2 weeks old. And only 5 days since the first major ground offensive last Thursday. And the army has taken two towns already. The Israeli army is advancing at a steady pace. But it will be some time before rockets stop. After losing 5 soldiers in the capture of the first town of Maroun al-Ras, the army lost only two soldiers in the capture of Bint Jbail which was more strongly fortified than Maroun al-Ras. To expect a war without any Israeli casualties would be ignorant of the facts of war and of the strengh of Israel's adversaries. There are many towns in southern Lebanon that are within rocket distance of Israel. IT will take weeks to capture them one by one. Patience is virtue.
