    The worst wars, atrocities, and genocide, was committed by evil fanatic fundamentalist atheist totalitarians. Seems atheists like you have their minds fixed on "One World Atheist Government", worshippping that notion in place of religious belief, and the "opium of the people" accusation is more accurately aimed at atheists, since they are probably drug addicts more often than religious believers. You state in your comment (QUOTE:) "Historically, blind belief in God created controversies that had to be dealt with by force" (END OF QUOTE), so I suppose that could indicate you support that yourself. And who ever said religious believers have the attitude you accuse in your comment, that they (QUOTE:) "...leave it to God"? (END OF QUOTE). On the contrary, caring for the sick, education, the dole, in fact the aim to relieve all suffering, was originally started by religious believers. Ever read the Prophets in the Bible, for example, who inspired Judaism, Christianity, and Islam?
