The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
"Although hard to stomach, a deterrence and containment strategy for dealing with a nuclear Iran are preferable to the military option" The din of war drums and saber rattles has all but drowned out good sense on how to pursue good relations with Tehran. This article says it like it is. The "military option" is indeed the suicidal option, guaranteed to provoke WWIII, or at least the precursors to it. The problem is lack of good will by the Americans and the Israelis, with good will toward the Saudi Initiantive as the vehicle for peace with the Palestinians, which will defuse a huge chunk of Ahmenijad's ire with Israel. Indeed there is global ire against Israeli apartheid, as bad as antisemitism and its pograoms in Russia.
