Surrounded as it is by nuclear powers, and with the example next door in Iraq of what can happen to countries who lack WMD's, it is entirely understandable that Iran should want to have an ultimate deterrent. Israel should look in the mirror and try to understand how its own belligerence looks to the rest of the world. Israel forcibly evicted large numbers of people from their homes and villages, for religious reasons, and shows no guilt or remorse. It maintains 1.5million in the open air prison camp of Gaza while attempting to occupy as much of the WB as it can, as fast as it can. This is all far worse than anything Iran has done in the last century. As by far the most likely instigator of fresh violence, it is Israel that is the real threat to the world in this case, not Iran.
