As far as territory is concerned, all that Hesbollah is ostensibly fighting for is a small sliver of uninhabited space near it's border with Israel. This tiny bit of land is in any case of ambiguous ownnership, and still has to be decided internationally. Is it for this that Hesbollah has built up such a formidable militaty force?! Is it for this only that Assad justifies his support?! Probably the true reason is that Assad intends to utilize Hesbollah for his own purposes, such as retrieving the Golan Heights........
