A marvel of Human Rights, statehood responsibility, religious, cultural and social diversity; a wonder of peaceful economic success despite Israel's land and sea blockade (never mind the tons and tons of humanitarian aid, food, water, gas, medicine, etc. that goes in daily from Israel). Gaza is ruled by the PA (with the footnote that Fatah officials have been thrown off buildings in 2007) with its Prime Minister, and its fabulous diversity of political entities: Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Popular resistance Committees, PFLP, DFLP, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hezballah agents and Al-Qaida offshoots. Gaza is the blueprint for Palestinian independence after the "Arab Spring", not the West Bank's Salam Fayyad who doesn't speak to President Mahmoud Abbas. If Palestine would border Germany, France or Britain, and if it would be an Iranian and Egyptian terror launchpad, the 27 EU member states would condemn it. Since it only borders Israel (and Egypt) they have it easier.

IfNotNow doesn’t deserve the support of left-leaning Jews

IfNotNow and its co-founder Simone Zimmerman challenge U.S. Jews to end the occupation. But they won't answer this basic question: Do you support a Jewish and democratic state in Israel, alongside a Palestinian state? And if not, why not?
