The Jewish settler process in the West Bank, which began under Labor governments and continued under successive Likud and Labor governments; the growth of extremist National Religious Judaism, encouraged by extremist rabbis and countenanced by every government coalition - all these have led to the present spate of attacks against Arabs, both Palestinian and Israeli. It would be easy to say that if the Likud falls, things would change. But, first of all, either the Likud or Yisrael Beitentu, along with extreme right wing, Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox collaborators will be running (or perhaps ruining)this country for some time into the foreseeable - or unforseeable - future. Secondly, what proof do we have that a government run by Kadima or Labor would be any different?
