“Confusion, controversy, helplessness, frustration and despair now describe not only the rebel forces but also the superpowers that are searching for an easy solution to the Syrian crisis.” The easy solutions was 5 years or more ago when things were simpler and smaller. It’s startling to me the West believed that, somehow, this time it would be different, this time evil would not follow the same script it followed in WWII. Compromise, a tenet of Western Civilization is seen as weakness by this evil, the more the West tried to find common ground the weaker it looked to this evil, just as in WWII. The Ayatollahs in Iran truly believe they are following Allah’s plan to create a global caliphate, the words and deeds of men are less than meaningless to them! It’s sad that our leaders did not see this coming. There will only be one winner and as in WWII, this cancer must be irradiated or it will kill everything in its path.

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
