Iskanderun was, is and will be Turkish. It was part of the Ottoman Empire, from which present Syria emerged. So to speak Iskanderun stayed behind with the rest of Turkey and was, is and never will be Syrian, the same way as Tel Aviv and Haifa will never be Palestinian. Is that understood?
