This article is wrong, and the headline is completely wrong. The conference wasn't "blocked" by anyone, and "US Jews" weren't involved in its postponement. Its primary sponsors, all secular, left-wing, in no way Jewish organizations, had already funded it but then called for its postponement. (They were the Ford, Rockefeller, and Nathan Cummings Foundations.) Since they'd already funded the event, they were not in a position to "block" anything, but the AAUP either agreed or decided to go along with them. "US Jews" had no role in "blocking" anything.
