On international waters no nation has a right to assault and hinder another vessel. To do so is a direct act of war against the national owner of that vessel (in this case, Turkey). The crew was quite correct, both legally and morally, in trying to repel invaders, no matter from. What you fail to understand is that the actions of your naval forces were as illegal as if they had invaded Turkey and shot up a neighbourhood while conducting a house-to-house search. I.e...you directly committed an act of war against the turkish government.
