The deal may be correct according to some idealists but even their premise is incorrect. Would Israel do everything it can for the return of its soldiers? For example, would they stop settlement construction? Of course not. (I am not making a value judgment here the construction). Would they have released 10,000 prisoners? No. There is always a line beyond which action would not have been take. The question is then simply, did Israel sacrifice too much? Everyone will have his/her own opinion. But someone looking in from Mars would say that Israel got taken. Not just the numbers but also the heinousness of the people they released. These are the people the will be parading as heroes before the Palestinians. Makes me sick.
