I never bought into the scam Palestine could be divided back in 1917, 1948 or today. All studies dating back 80 plus years concluded division of Palestine was not feasible absent of population transfer. The Arabs didn't want to be transferred then - although they were eventually by force - and today settlers don't want to be transferred back to Israel. What UN commissions and studies in years past have concluded on top of the issue of population transfer was the simple fact territorially it was also not feasible to carve up Palestine into two contiguous states that would satisfy both sides. The "indefensible border" argument is actually an argument FOR ONE STATE. Ramallah is 10 minutes away from Tel-Aviv. East Jerusalem is a stone throw away from West Jerusalem. It's time to cut the charade Palestinians will ever get a state of their own - or Israel has any other plans than the slow methodical systematic ethnic cleansing of all Palestinians over time. In essence, the status quo and buying time is and has always been the Israeli strategy. The PA is duplicitous in this charade. Hamas at least is being realistic while terribly misguided in their approach. What is needed is the recognition statehood for Palestinians can only come within Israel. They need to abandon any illusions of a independent state of their own considering the fact the crumbs left Israel has no intention of returning.
