Arens' solution is implicit in his original article: kick all non-Jews (i.e. us Palestinians) into the desert. There is a reason that Israel and its supporters have forever insisted that Palestinians are 'brethren' with other Arabs, deliberately confusing Arab 'ethnicity' (which is the case) for Arab 'nationality' (which is not the case - despite what ignorant foreigners in North America or Australia will undoubtedly post here in response). Back to the point, if Palestinians are lumped with Arabs as a single "nation" (as opposed to an ethnicity), it becomes easier to argue for such nonsense as "we can go live in one of 'our' other countries", or that the Palestinians refugee problem and the Jewish refugees from Arab countries are parallel problems (they aren't)... Every Israeli government has always tried to maintain this canard and convinced some others of this too... but the goal remains (per ample evidence) that Israel wishes to kick as many of us out of our land as possible.
