I'm confused. To all the people who are referencing Goldstone's Jewish identity - is this really relevant to the conversation at hand? Does his Jewish background somehow heighten the legitimacy of his report? If he were Muslim, would the report have any less credence in your eyes? The fact of the matter is that Israel refused to participate in aiding the Goldstone commission, so clearly the report is missing key information from the Israeli perspective. Perhaps this information would support Goldstone's conclusions, but more likely it would reveal that the IDF went to painstaking measures to minimize civilian casualty in there assault on an aggressive and murderous terrorist organization. Stop using Goldstone's heritage to disfigure the truth of the situation at hand.
