What's this talk of reinforcing the Merkava, upgrading the reserves, and developing a defense against short range missiles? Don't you understand that even if this were possible, Israel's enemies would adapt and find new weaknesses to exploit? Why not disarm Israel's enemies by reaching a just political settlement with the people you displaced starting in 1948? Israel's army is probably already the best trained in the world. The Merkava is among the world's best tanks. And as far as developing a defense against missiles, are you referring to the deadly Kornet, with a time of flight of less than a second, or the little but potent Katyushas, which came down like rain and which are just as hard to shoot down? Israel is Goliath. The Palestinians are David. No amount of military power will ultimately defend you from a people who fight only for justice and freedom.
