A house I live in:- 130m squared, 3 very reasonable sized bedrooms in 3 of the corners, and in the 3rd a kitchen, the space left over forms a big L shape, (with a guard wall extended to cover the bathroom door) which can fit a huge dining table, enough for 10 people and place for the other leisure and relaxation, inside. even if this pattern were repeated 3 times, for one extended family, I think it would be very comfortable. Using one Kitchen and making the one above into a laundry. The saving on the kitchen may save money and make it affordable for the family in the short and long term, with all the nuclear family's joining forces. Without a lot of adjustments all over the world, in the current economic, system, it is almost impossible to afford housing. I do not see "lean to"s", with outside showers but that is the reality of the situation in real terms.
