Gilo hasn't bothered palestinians before obama made it an issue. There isn't any palestinian people between gilo the 67 line. Gilo is south of jerusalem. Arafat agreed that israel would exchange other land for gilo. Gilo was part of the 2 percent exchange. Palestinians have never protested gilo. Palestians are concerned about east jerusalem neighborhoods which is a direct link to ramallah. Palestnians are concerned about E-1 area not Gilo. Now that Obama made Gilo an issue that is only when palestniians jumped on it for leverage. So Obama took Gilo which was settled even by arafat and made it an issue. Bibi has frozen all tenders for east jerusalem over the line and the west bank. The only construction going on in east jerusalem and the west bank was tenders issued under olmert. Loads of projects have not been started by bibi and the shas housing minister. Bibi gets no credit for this and instead the leftist papers praise olmert who issued tens of thousands of tenders.
