The only thing more sickening that Gideon Levy's wish that the U.S. apply more pressure on the Israeli government to make concessions is that the Israeli government capitulates to the pressure it already receives. No amount of concessions will be enough. The right of Israel to exist was not accepted even before the Six Day War in 1967, which proves the so-called "occupation" is nothing but a pretext. There never was a Palestinian nation other than Jordan, and there never will be. The savagery occurring in Jordan proves that the Palestinians are incapable of governing themselves. The Israeli people are desperate for peace and therefore understandably indulge in wishful thinking. Unfortunately, they need to get their heads out of the sand and realize that sealing the border, followed by transfer to Jordan, is the only way there will ever be peace.
